Why Panties?

 One day I was walking behind a homeless woman downtown Vancouver, I didn't pay attention to her until she knelt down on one knee to pick something up. Her pants were halfway down and the area that a pair of panties should have covered was bare. I went on with my day but I kept on thinking about her; what does it do to one’s dignity when one doesn't have the basics? I contacted the Carnegie outreach centre in Vancouver and decided to go visit the women with some panties. I met some beautiful and smart women who were going through a dark period in their lives but what struck me was that they had the same dreams and aspirations that any one of us do. I thought if a beautiful and rich city like Vancouver has this problem I wonder how many young girls and women need panties in countries that aren’t as well off as Canada. Our mission is to donate 100,000 panties to the streets girls of India by 2013. You can

We are also working with 'Yuvaprivartan' a not for profit organization that trains mislead youth trades to be able to find jobs.

Being a  woman i understand how important it is for a woman to have clean undergarments to prevent infections, there is a part of the month where every woman needs an pair.

Due to the policy of the  'Downtown Community Health Center' we were unable to take any pictures of the women we donated to. It is very important to us that we donate keeping their dignity intact. We are grateful to the women who  sent us a 'Thank you' card.
